Arthur Wood 1950's teapot in Yellow Sandon pattern. It holds 3 1/2 Cups of liquid. Features bright bouquet of yellow flowers and single vibrant yellow flower on backside. Scalloped design lid trimmed in gold as well as the knob on the lid. It stands 4 1/2" tall. From the spout to the outside edge of the handle it measures 9 1/2" wide. The base measures 4" in diameter and is 3" deep. Teapot it is marked in black Arthur Wood England and Arthur Wood Son England, #5447 

 

Arthur Wood primarily produced Earthenware teapots on the premises of Capper & Wood around 1884. Arthur Wood became sole owner in 1904 trading up until 1928 when the company name was changed to Arthur Wood & Sons Limited.
